Singapore lately has been a rising star in the world of architectural wonders, and its easy to see why the Tangga House Singapore by Guz Architects embodies that great taste…. one of the most exciting things about the house is the courtyard which features an L-shaped pool, a second level garden, a deck lounge and a quiet yard. Who doesn’t get irritated when stuck in a traffic jam? Do you think Kuwait is infamous for its traffic troubles?
Well, there’s an ongoing traffic jam in China and I can say it is a thousand times worse than what we’re used to here.
According to CNN, a 100 KM long traffic jam started on August 14th in the Beijing-Tibet Expressway and at the time of writing the article, it showed no signs of abating… yes, a 9 day long traffic jam. Imagine, it would take you nine days to reach Al Khairan from your house.
The problem was made worse when parts of the expressway were closed for construction and the construction is planned to end by around mid September.
Many small entrepreneurs decided to take advantage of this and decided to walk around to the stranded drivers offering products like instant noodles and cigarettes at maybe 4 times the original price.
Next time, when you’re stuck in the 4th Ring’s famous traffic jam and the cars in front of slow down to a halt, simply turn up your stereo volume and enjoy the music until the traffic eases minutes later.

Al Joaan, an energetic young woman, is representing the Kuwait Science Club to raise awareness for, and to study environmental issues with an expedition, organized by a Canadian NGO called “Students on Ice” In February 2011, Al Joaan will be joining scientists, University professors, and other students from around the world, for a ship-based expedition, during which Al Joaan will be focusing on university-level field courses, while experiencing one of the most unique places on Earth.
