The best thing about KFC is definately the crispy skin…. well some folks took it one step further and have come up with the KFC Skinwich, its 5 layers of fried chicken skin, American cheese and bacon, slapped on a bun…. its a heart attack waiting to happen

Frrozen Haute Chocolate; the name of the world’s most expensive desert that an be found in new york’s famed Serendipity 3 restaurant, it is made from a fine blend of 28 cocoas, including 14 of the most expensive and exotic from all around the world.  The dessert is decorated with 5 grams of edible 23-karat gold and is dished up in a goblet lined with edible gold. The base of the goblet is an 18-karat gold bracelet with 1 carat of white diamonds. The dessert is eaten with a gold spoon decorated with white and chocolate-colored diamonds, which can also be taken home. Your sugar craving will cost you USD 25,000/- so do you still want to give it a go?

i was lucky enough to receive some gelato delivered to my door step. the kind owners of Gelato sent me six new flavors which i think will sell great for ramadan. the flavors were rose water, vimto,choco rahash, rangeena, and Blossom water. i fell in love with the rangeena and would advise you to try it out

When are they going to stop?

The word on the street is that London based Snog Frozen Yogurt will be opening up soon in Kuwait, the timing of this news is not strange given the frozen yogurt frenzy spreading around the country is “”ما شاء الله reaching an all time high as if stores are going to run out of frozen yogurt tomorrow!   For those of you who have not be acquainted to Snog , there basically the UK’s answer to the US’s Pinkberry franchise using fresh fruits and yogurt to appease your palettes all in a funky and cool atmosphere…. We will update you with the latest news once available.

Northern Virginia-based Elevation Burger will be opening its first Middle Eastern outlet in October in the Avenues Mall in Kuwait.Personally i never tried it, but what i make out of the website is that the produce used is more or less organic and free range which is a refreshing change; below is the official statement from the restaurant:

“This is a great step in expanding the Elevation Burger vision internationally and ideally more and more of our locations will be developed in projects like The Avenues,” said Hans Hess, founder of Elevation Burger. “We’ve received interest from entrepreneurs in other Middle Eastern countries, so we anticipate expansion elsewhere in the region in the very near future.”

There is an email circling around claiming that Oreo is not halal and dont eat it. The email comes with a link claiming the confirmation. I went through the [link] and here is what’s written:

Is Oreo halal?

Oreo products on general sale in the UK and Ireland are suitable for a Muslim diet and they are made without pork derivatives or alcohol. However the products are not halal-certified.

It says that Oreos are suitable for a Muslim diet, so why the chain mail? Did they ignore the part written in bold and concentrated on the last sentence only?

If there aren’t any pork derivatives or alcohol in its ingredients, do we need a Halal sticker on the packaging? We’re talking about chocolate cookies!
