I was browsing through today’s edition of Al Qabas newspaper and a couple of things caught my eye:

This ad is found in the third page, I find it a bit strange to see someone that committed to sell his stash of mobile phone batteries.

Here is another one on the next page:

It says Jolly what Bank????? I know the article talked briefly about it but if they were desperate to show ‘Balla3 ilbaiza’, can’t they find a more suitable picture?

Yes, that’s right, according to Alaan, Al Jazeera Sport will show this year’s World Cup in 3D. They will offer this technology with the help of FIFA… I think having FIFA on board will only ensure that 3D games will go smoothly and officially so I doubt that we will have unexpected surprises.

Mr Nasser Al Khluaify, the General Manager of Al Jazeera Sport also said that the World Cup will be shown through the Al Jazeera smart cards and subscribers will only have to pay marginally more than usual to view the event. I just hope that this marginal amount is less than ART’s 100KD or more for a month of football.

3D football matches were tried by SKY TV when they beamed the Arsenal-Man Utd game I think. The viewers were said to be happy with the experience but they had to get used to using special 3D glasses for the game.

And now to find a suitable 3D TV set…

i came across this while reading alqabas and it is a great offer by fastelco 4 MBPS – 24 MBPS for KD319 Wow!! i know it only gives you these speeds from 1-7 am but its great for downloading before going to sleep

orbit showtime network changed there logo and name and will start broadcasting on HD starting Feb 1!!! so finally we can use our HD tv’s and receivers and view HD premier league matches!! if you don’t have a HD receiver i tried out the humax which is great and you can find it every where it is a bit pricey but now its worth it
