AFB, Abdulmohsen and myself went last night to a newly opened cafe, Baking Tray, which is owned by the talented Kuwaiti Chef, Naser Al-Mukhaizeem. The place has a modern feel and simple yet innovative design.
The concept of the cafe is really simple and back to basics. It’s all about good quality fresh produce.
The food is on display for you to choose from. To be honest, I didn’t know what to order because everything looked delicious; however, we managed to order five items from the menu. We ordered Garlic Chicken Avocado [Sandwich], Chicken Semolina [Sandwich], Norway Salmon [Sandwich] and Tomo [Pizza].
What separates food in the Baking Tray from other places I have been to is the fresh ingredients and the simplicity of its combination. The food is freshly prepared upon your order, even the bread is baked in-house!
Anybody can make a dish taste great by drowning it in sauces or strong spices, a good chef doesn’t need to. Lets just say that the Baking Tray proved this saying. The combination of ingredients is a welcome change than what we are used to in other restaurants and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

What seemed so far off in the future has now been given a date for jay leno. His last show is going to be aired on Saturday on Orbit. I think jay leno has done a great 17 years on the tonight show and now Conan is going to take over.

I started supporting Newcastle since around 1995, the days when they had Les Ferdinand, Peter Beardsley and David Ginola in attack and St James’ Park only held 36,000 fans. They had a popular manager and a great chairman. Now they have a bigger stadium but also have a weak and overpaid squad as well as a crooked chairman and employed four managers this season. And are deservedly relegated :(
