LOFAT and the Municipality

as im sure all of you are familiar with Lofat, it started as a small Kuwaiti concept that was aimed to target weight management along with an exceptional quality. the restaurant expanded its wings to over 5 branches ,including a new concept, a weight loss program (like dietcare).
in recent emails, pictures of lofat’s supposedly dirty kitchen were posted all over the net, the Question is what exactly was going on, why would the pictures be all over the internet? ive heard of hundreds of shops shutting down for periods up to months due to cleanness or the quality of food, but never have i seen such a grudge to spread the pictures all over the net. a day after the jabriya branch of lofat was shut, it reopened its arms to serve its customers. Lofat serves thousands of customers on a daily basis, if you were to enter your home kitchen during lunch time im sure u will see a CLEAN mess, imagine the capacity they have to serve. The municipality employee was on a mission to settle a personal grudge. the CEO of lofat group assured me that the quality of food at lofat is what you expect it to be, and that legal actions have bean taken against the municipality and the employee. we at 4thringroad support Kuwaiti businesses and encourage them to overcome the obstacle set by these standards,we hope to see you expand more in the region.

I always loved LoFat, and I had no doubts about the cleanness of their food. Have you seen the place? Whenever I go I notice how everything is neat and all that. I totally agree, some people just love to hate.
On another note, howcome people are being soooo picky on the cleanness of lofat? If you eat from any place that isn’t your home, you are risking the cleanness of your food. And I think that there are plenty of other places 10 times worse than those pictures posted about Lofat, yet no one complained.

Dear 4thRr,
Thank you for posting such an eye-opener. I received the email and found the pictures stupid and unjust. Lofat is one of the best Kuwaiti concepts and we should be proud of it. My friend lost 10kg in 3 months on their diet food. I love their grilled chicken sandwich!You have my full support LOFAT :)

It’s sad what our country has come to. The baladiyya should be supporting and promoting our concepts, not trying to sabotage them!..

شخصيا أشوفه نظيف ويستحق الدعم والتجربه
وهو مو اول مطعم يتصكر من قبل البلدية لكن تسليط الضوء عليه والتصوير الي صوره موف البلديه كان فيه حقد وإادرة سوء بصاحب المطعم
الله يوفقهم
والبلدية بشر يخطئون ويصيبون واخطاؤهم أكثر من صوابهم
الله يرد المزارع والشير للديره بعد ما انقفوها

I got the email and I was like hmmm whats wrong with it? It doesnt show any “dirt” min sijhom! I deleted it… I kept getting it but I always delete it cuz it was obvious case of grudge! SHAKOO! o ana ba3ad ma3akom le da3m el Kuwaiti Businesses!!

Hi every one, i am a big lowfat fan walakin as a consumer, astanis laman el baladia etsakir, khankoon fare plzzzz…. Why cant we stand the law in q8? Why do we all have to be above the law? sticktly follow the rules and no one will come near you. I knw that there are alot of law breakers and no one comes near them because of wasta…. well i dont care, they are bad. Do we all have to be bad? Go Go low fat and good job baladia to close places even for little mistakes… again we do care about what we eat guys

Went for my weigh-in at Lofat today…so far 17kg down and still going strong…. :D
