Karting in Kuwait | 4th Ring Road, Enjoy the Ride... | ...الدائري الرابع ، تمتع بالرحلة

I’ve been whining about how in Kuwait we are trailing behind in motor sports. And that we have the best talent in the middle east in this field. But no recourses to exploit this talent. Well now our big break is here!

There is an excellent karting track on the sixth ring road. I’ve been there four times in Ramadan checking the progress, and it seems they are making good progress on the track and the track only. The rest of the place is pretty bad. Its literally a good track with no utilities pits or kart storage compartments. The tires outlining the track are old used tires that are poorly painted white and lighting is what you would find in a football field in an old farm in Abdily.

On the other hand the track itself is excellent. I walked around the track several times and I was impressed more and more every track walk i did. Its 1400 meters long, 8 meters wide and about 10 meters wide in the hairpins. Its techinical, has a combination of hairpins, low speed corners, S turns two straits and some nice high speed corners.

Kart racing is the building block of all that is motor sports and people could start racing from 5 years of age and keep on racing karts until there bodies physically cant take it. Most motoring legends started there careers karting and keep on karting event when they reach the highest levels of motor sports like F1. I’m looking forward to the opening of this track and I’m going to be the first one there the day it opens. It will open the second day of eid. Hopefully some young kuwaiti talents will start rising in the near future.

Update: This is the map with directions to the place

    September 13th, 2010 @ 7:36 PM

i must assume that this is the only track in kuwait then as i was told there was 20+ but thats not true at all so

kd 5 for 8 min is quite steep

is there a grand Prix package ? its my work mates 24th on Sunday and a bunch of us fancy carting

but 8 kd for 8 mins plus the 30 min taxi is not worth the trouble

  13. bo humoud
    September 15th, 2010 @ 8:50 AM

its 5 kd for 8 minutes and it worth the trip …the karts are twin engines …11 horse power

also there is a 20 to 25 percent on group racing .

i will give a free trial b4 you buy any tickets .

    send sms to 965-55444441

and i will sorte you out

I have tried your track and find it to be one of the best kart tracks I have every tested, beautifuly put together with the hairpins, s turns and strights. Since I have raced in many country and was in the 2006 25h kart race here in kuwait, I have been waiting for kuwait to build its own international Kart track. I must say I got pretty good timings with some of your karts and do hope that the membership and kart owning will be ready soon

    Great work
