I have recently recieved some exciting news for all you car lovers out there! There is serious ongoing negotiations happening between Nissan Motor Company and the American University of Beirut regarding the establishment of a Nissan Academy in the AUB, students from the Sulaiman Olayan School of Business can take courses in collaboration with Nissan to graduate students and employ them in the Nissan Headquarters in either Japan, USA, or Europe the following year they will also setup courses with the engineering school with an emphasis on automobiles to be recruited in different offices of Nissan and work on car designs and engineering, some sort of statement should come out soon…Its unfortunate that i graduated from the AUB a couple of years ago cuz this would have been one hell of a dream job! its really exciting to see such projects pop up in our region because it really does promote new opportunities and open up new horizons for our arab youth… so stay tuned for more info when it becomes available and if you want to work in the auto industry this is your chance!

Why what’s wrong with being a ‘mechanic’?
AUB remains in the top 5 universities in the Middle-East, and I’m sure it knows what it is doing.
Sounds like a good plan. Good luck AUB.

ps. I’m sure the ‘working on car designs’ is going to be a hit.

Thats fantastic! It would be great for Universities to be able to tie up with big firms, such as what nissan did!

Too bad Dar didn’t tie up Aston Martin with Kuwait University! Now that would have been an interesting combination!
