Kuwaiti New Wide License Plate

Finally in Kuwait car owners can enjoy the option of choosing the recently launched wide license plates provided by the ministry of interior. The new plates are now only available for new automobiles however insiders tell us that if you have people at the ministry you can swap your current one with a new wide plate…we’ve been also informed that currently they will be on hold for a couple of days because their is a slight problem that is causing a hick up in the system which should be fixed soon…

My plates are the old ones, u know with the name of the district. So when it is time to renew them, they would still not change? I didn’t get the current plates coz they “discovered” there was something wrong with the latter. I think it was an upside down symbol at the back of the plates. I guess that’s why they have these new license plates. I don’t think it’s smart to have cars roaming the country with 3 plate versions.

thank you… but regarding having more than one license plate i think its a good idea because the more options i have the better and in the end it wont hurt… :p

At last we have wide license plates. I saw this type of plate on a Rolls Royce Ghost last week, But could not snap a photo cuz it was really dark and the guy driving it looked at us in a weird way when we tried to snap a photo of it. It seems that the wide license plates all start with code number “10″ for the mean time.
