Caribou Redesign

It looks like Caribou Coffee has jumped on the new logo band wagon and have completely renovated their existing logo… as you can see the new design incorporates many elements that relate to the brand for example the Caribou body is a coffee bean, The antlers make a “C”, the shield is like a park sign … the packaging also managed to get a refresh with a new look using handwritten typography so what do you guys think do you dig the new logo and branding?

the new logo looks cool but i still like the older one…..come to think of it do you think they changed the logo because it looked to similar to abercrombie and fitch logo???

i quite like the new font. it’s free-flowing and has that sense of leisure to it. i suspect the new antlers remind me strongly of the traditional christmas sleigh-pulling reindeer. it’s always good to see brands taking on new looks or re-inventing themselves for us the consumers!

I think its another way advertisers are tricking the hip (aka: dumb) generation into buying sh**t for coffee at jacked up prices…. while they get their coffee beans from the cheapest farmers at impossibly cheap prices. Sh***!

I like it, but Ive always been a supporter of brand recognition, if it was a small change over time I think would have been a better move ( kinda like starbucks ) not a sudden change, i feel that cheapens the brand……if someone was holding that cup and walking around I would have never guessed it was caribou………Basha didnt get his cup of coffee this morning :P

Their old logo is a relic from the time when the coffee house was just starting up in the 90’s and has an unmistakable 90’s feel to it.
I’m glad it is now gone with this refreshing re-brand. Love the font.
